Hi EMT/FF chicks!! I just want to introduce myself to the group!
I have always been interested in helping other people...giving is better than receiving to me. I have signed up to volunteer in my community for the fire and rescue squad here in Northern Virginia in Fairfax County. I have the orientation meeting today.
I am 32 years old and I really regret not getting involved in Emergency Medicine sooner.I am rather petite but very strong. I am a good athlete/runner. I hope that my size will not be a factor or that I will be discriminated against. I am 5ft3 and 95 solid pounds. I am small but mighty. hahah You will be suprised at how much I can lift.
I think it would be really satisfying to provide my time/services for the community. Also...I feel it will be very self rewarding.
Anyway...so if I ask any stupid questions, etc...it is only because I am in the beginning stages! :o) I hope everyone is doing well and in happy spirits!!! Thanx for taking the time to read this!
