    An interesting article on Halloween/Samhain written by a friend: clickie! Enjoy. :)

    Of course, when the weather finally gets chilly, our furnace chooses to stop working. *sigh* We have a repair person coming out tomorrow to check it out, so we'll see what we see. Thank goodness for the woodstove! It was a stimulating 57 degrees in here, so I have a fire going today. :) It's now 65 in here -- much better!

    Anyway, I'm just staying at home today in the igloo, studying Microbiology for my exam on the 14th. I've been curled up on the couch with a blanket so I can feel the heat from the woodstove. It's really not THAT bad in here -- I like it a little cold inside anyway. :) But I like to be able to CHOOSE the temperature!! The last time I had to replace a furnace (in my house in Arlington), it cost $2300. Blech. So we'll see what happens with the furnace people.

    Got an A on Nursing Concepts 6 today. Woo hooooooooo! And this was my LAST nursing concepts test -- I'm now eligible to apply for the CPNE (that 2.5-day clinicals exam). Eeek! :) It takes anywhere from 4 to 6 months to get the date for the CPNE, though -- lots of students, fewer testing sites. But that's fine -- I'll be going to a CPNE workshop in December, and I want to use that time to make sure I'll pass the CPNE the first time around! :)
