I took Nursing Concepts 5 today and got an A!!! Holy crow, I was sweatin' this one ... so many people said they failed it. I knew I passed, but after I hit the "submit your exam" button on the computer, I half-covered my eyes and said, "I'll take a B, I'll take a B, I'll take a B..." I was so happy to see that A!! WAHOOOOOOOO! This one was 50% behavioral responses (psych, essentially), 25% metabolic mechanisms (gall bladder diseases, liver diseases, pancreas diseases, etc.) and 25% regulatory mechanisms (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Cushing's, Addison's, pheochromocytoma, etc.).

So now I have one more exam (Nursing Concepts 6), which I'll take on October 17. Then I can apply for the CPNE -- that's the 2.5-day clinicals exam. Yikes!!! :D :D :D I'll still be taking Microbiology, Life Span Developmental Psychology, and Sociology in there somewhere between November and January or so. My CPNE date should be sometime in April or May, depending on the wait at the test site I choose (which will probably be in Mansfield, Ohio, since it's within 6 hours of driving time).

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In other news, Michael and I are officially addicted to Grey's Anatomy. We're halfway through Season 2. :)

Another "A" exam grade! :) I took the NC7 exam today -- it's totally different than all the other exams ... it was nursing history, theory, ethics, structure, organizations, government organizations, Medicare, etc.

Now on to NC5 on 9/26 and NC6 on 10/17! Then I'm done with the nursing concepts portion. Woo!

Not feeling too update-ish lately ... sorry. Things are great here, though. :)

Just so there's no confusion, I'm the wife of the best husband on the planet ... he tracked down the first Pumpkin Spice coffee of the season for me on Saturday! OMFG, I was in coffee nirvana. :) He also bought me a sweet card that actually made me teary-eyed. He's the best. :D

This afternoon = Nursing Concepts 4 exam -- Cardiac, Respiratory, Abnormal Cellular Growth, and Congenital Anomalies. Fun stuff! I also have Nursing Concepts 7 scheduled for September 17. I'm going a little out of order just to get NC7 out of the way -- it's all nursing legal/history stuff, so not really technical at all. Then in a fit of productivity, I scheduled Nursing Concepts 5 for September 26th. :) That one is psych, metabolic mechanisms, and regulatory mechanisms. So I'm doing a ton of studying this month! I've already listened to the entire audio guide for NC7, and most of the guide for NC5. Anyway, keep your fingers crossed for me today -- I want an A on NC4! :D
