Just a quick note -- LASIK went great!! It was a little uncomfortable, but completely bearable. My vision was better the minute they were done! And 10mg of Valium hits me like a ton of bricks, ha ha.

The pain/burning/discomfort started in when we were on the way home, but they give you another 10mg of Valium so you can just sleep when you get home. I did that, until just a little while ago, and my eyes don't feel too bad. A bit like I have sand in both of them, but nothing painful now (although for a little while I was like, holy crap, this SUCKS). I have a small bottle of drops conveniently labeled "PAIN" that I've enjoyed. :) I also have wetting drops, steroid drops, and antibiotic drops. Wheeee!

I'm off to rest my eyes. :-D So happy!!!

LASIK is tomorrow!! Woo hooooo! :) I'm definitely more excited than scared, ha ha. I'll be somewhat out of commission for the next couple of days ... tomorrow will be a complete wash (I'll be encouraged to take Valium and sleep the day away while my eyes begin healing, woo!), but I expect I'll be near-normal (what the hell is normal? :)) by Wednesday. I'll be sure to post and let you all know how it went! It's funny, because today my coworkers were saying how weird I was going to look without my glasses ... and I've only had them for about a year and a half! Before that, it was all contacts, since I was 10 or so. I'm still not used to myself in glasses, so I'll be glad to get rid of them. And Michael told me he missed my eyes ... that's enough reason right there. <3

In WONDERFUL news, I am a perfect candidate for LASIK! Yay!!!! So next Tuesday I'll be getting all-laser LASIK with CustomVue, which means they'll map my cornea and treat my eye, not just my prescription. And this comes with a lifetime guarantee, too. Free touch-ups! Ha ha! :-D I'm nervous about having it done, but I am so excited!!

Random: I'm selling some shoes and a torc on eBay.

Further random: Michael is the best husband on earth. He's constantly doing 10-bazillion things for me that make my life wonderful.

More randomness: Michael wants to sell his Cannondale bicycle. It's a nice street bicycle. If anyone is interested, let me know and I can provide more info about it.

I made an appointment for next Monday (the 16th) for a LASIK consultation. Woo! :D We'll see (ha ha) if I'm a good candidate for LASIK, and if so, I want to schedule that as soon as possible. Holy crow, I might actually be able to really SEE! I've had glasses since I was six or seven, so this would be amazing.
