Goofed around with some black hair dye ... hee hee! I was so bored with my hair. Michael likes it ... I'm still not sure. But it's permanent, so hey! I'll get used to it. ;) If it stays in, that is ... I tried something similar back in 1987, and it faded out in about a week. My hair doesn't like to hold dye. I think 1987 was the last time I ever tried dying my hair!

Look, I even smiled with TEETH! :D

    Everyone, meet Smudge!

Isn't she adorable? She has no tail! She is the cutest. :D

    And just another picture...

It's hard work being the new girl! :) She crashed out in my arms, and we went and took a nap together for about an hour.

We saw her yesterday at our local Humane Society — we sometimes stop in there on our days off to give the kitties some love. :) There was a girl and her mother at the shelter who were also interested in Smudge, but because it was 5 p.m., there couldn't be any more adoptions yesterday. So after they left, the SPCA lady told us if we wanted Smudge, we should probably come right at 10 a.m. when they opened because those other people were also interested in her. We took an application home and filled it out, then decided we'd be at the SPCA at 9:30 a.m., just for good measure — it's first come, first served. I'm glad we got there early, because that girl and her mother arrived about five minutes after we got in the door and started the adoption process. *whew* I wasn't TOO worried, though ... there are so many cats in need of a home. But I just fell totally in love with Smudge yesterday! I've always loved tailess cats. (And yes, she was born that way — no traumatic injury, thank goodness!)

The other cats are a bit put out by the newbie, but they'll get used to her. :)
