So, yesterday ... we got to the little chapel at 11 a.m., and John, Michael's boss, was already there. :) There was another couple ahead of us, getting married (walk-ins? Mkay, whatever!), and then it was our turn. Nice, simple, short ceremony ... Michael got a little teary, and I came very close. (But then again, I am a Vulcan, right? ;)) We got a little wedding cake from the chapel, and we took that over to Brewbaker's when we went for lunch. Mmmmmmm, cake! :D

After lunch we went home and changed clothes, then stopped by the shop to get Michael's camera (a regular film camera). We had decided to head up to Skyline Drive for the afternoon ... fitting, since I took Michael to Skyline Drive the first time he ever visited here. :)

We also brought the digital, so I got a few pictures ...

We also saw a big black bear!! He was on the side of the road (the opposite side, of course!), just eating plants and hanging out. We found a spot to turn around and went back for pictures with Michael's camera. We'll have to drop the film off today and see how they came out. :) So we saw the black bear, then a HUGE vulture in the middle of the road, almost coming right at us ... then a rattlesnake! It was in the middle of the road, and I almost hit it. I pulled over so Michael could go see if it was okay, and he managed to push it off the road with a pretty long tree limb (he knows better than to mess with a venemous snake). We also saw a deer, then a turtle. Lots of wildlife. :D

After leaving Skyline Drive, we headed up to Martinsburg and went to Applebee's for dinner, then went to the movie theatre for Batman Begins ... it was great! Finally got home after midnight. Looooong day, but a wonderful and memorable one. :D

A lovely ceremony, followed by a lovely lunch. Michael's boss, John, was there for the wedding, and then came to lunch with us ... and he picked up the check. Unexpected, but nice! :)

So happy to finally be married to my beloved. :)

Just a couple of pictures ...

    Bits o'good news and stuff...

    • Yesterday was my birthday. I'm now 33. Wheeee! ;)

    •
    • Yesterday was also Michael's divorce hearing. The divorce is now final. Double yay!

    •
    • And now that the aforementioned divorce is final, we're getting married, a week from tomorrow, on June 21, 2005 — the summer solstice. Seemed like an auspicious date. :)

And that's the news from here!
