Random picture post! We just got some film developed...

It's me, tattooing! Ha ha!! Jesse was blackening in Michael's arm, and even I got a turn! :)

And another picture (okay, two!) of us, just because ...

That last one is from the Richmond Tattoo Convention back in November — me receiving my first convention tattoo, and Michael doing his first convention tattoo. :D

Still working at the ER, still loving it! :) I just finished my 90-day probationary period, and they're keeping me. Hee hee! I've learned a lot in just three months, and I can see where my ER experiences make me a better paramedic, too. It's all good! I really like the people I work with, too. And the hours ... I don't think I would ever want to go back to working five 8-hour days each week; working 12-hours shifts is definitely the way to go, I think. I just finished working three days, and now I have five days off. Can't beat that! And there is no better work-wear than scrubs. :)

I did finally finish all my continuing education hours to recertify my National Registry paramedic ... just in time, too! Now that I've gone through the process once, I'm sure I'll have an easier time the next time I have to do it (March 2007). It's definitely not as easy for volunteers to get all the hours we need, but I was able to get a bunch of hours through my station, so that was a big help. :)

We've been in this house for a year now, and we're working on getting central A/C installed. Just waiting for a second quote — the first company's quote was a tad high, so I want to see what else I can find. Also discovered that our house has gone up in value quite a bit during the year we've lived in it ... I don't think the Northern Virginia real estate madness is quite here yet, but prices are definitely on the rise out here! More equity = good thing.

We did some extensive yardwork last month, taking out a bunch of hedges in front of the porch ... that really opened up the yard! Now I just have to figure out what I want to plant there. Might work on that this week. :) I'll take some pictures and post them once there's something worth seeing!

My birthday is coming up next month ... I'll be 33. *gulp* No, seriously ... my 30s have been fantastic, for the most part. And this summer is sure to bring good things to fruition ... but more on that another time. ;)

Happy Mother's Day to my mom and to my stepsister, Traci, who has another one on the way. :D (And Happy Mother's Day to all the rest of you moms, too!)
