Deer (a six-point buck!) vs. Honda Civic Hybrid:
That happened last Wednesday (the 10th), on a major highway. I'm fine — I wasn't hurt at all. My car, on the other hand ... they have to replace the radiator, AC condenser, the engine cover, the air filtration system, the fans, the hood, the hinges, both headlights, the bumper, and the passenger side front panel (you can see the dent where the deer went over at the end). I'm very, very lucky that I was able to keep him out of my windshield. Looking at that, I can see it was very close.
I have a nice rental vehicle for the duration (end of the month, most likely). I'm so glad we have good insurance!
