All hail the Gods of vision ... my cornea is finally better! Yay!! The abrasion/irritation is almost gone, so my eye doc ordered me a new left contact lens (the right one is still fine), and I can start wearing my contacts again when it arrives. Woo hoooo! I've been wearing contact since ... geez, 1982. Heh. Explains why I feel so awkward in my glasses, although I admit I'm getting used to them. But I'm still going back to my contacts. :)

And Dr. Miller is the best — I think I've been to see her at least 10 times (no exaggeration) since the corneal problems started, and not once since the initial visit has she charged me a penny. She marks all my appointments as follow-ups/prescription checks, so I don't get charged. How nice is that? She rocks. That's why I've kept the same eye doc for nearly 10 years.

I'm really relieved that my eye is better — I was getting worried (and so was Dr. Miller) when it wasn't improving at all.

I owe people email! I'm publicly declaring this. Most notably — Chrissi, Elisa, and Carrie ... I will email each of you soon! Things have been a bit hectic here lately ... my apologies. Elisa, I did get both messages — it's so good to hear from you!

Oh, and Carrie — yes, you ARE right. And it's all good. :)

    </cryptic> LOL

Guess it's time for another update, assuming anyone reads my babble...

Got my Virginia paramedic card — Virginia grants reciprocity to NREMT-Ps, but you have to request it, so I sent in the appropriate forms and whatnot. So now I can start precepting with Warren County! Yay!! I still have a lot to learn.

James is moving back to Austin this week; I'm excited for him, because I think Austin is truly his home. He's getting more excited about going back, I think. Especially after chatting with Austin locals of the female persuasion ... LOL. ;) I really do wish him all the happiness in the world.

There are wonderful things going on in my life, but I'm not going to write about them here ... yet. (A secret ploy to make people check back? Mayyyyybe. LOL.)
