I know, I know ... I need to update this more often. I'm trying! :)

Tomorrow I'm taking a day off of work because my Pathophysiology class is taking a field trip to the cadaver lab. Woo hoo! Yes, I am excited about that. :-b

We went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival on Saturday — we had the best weather!! For once I wasn't too warm in my ren clothing. :) Spent money (fabulous silver torque with ravens on the ends, and a star-shaped tambourine, woo hoo!), saw the Medieval Baebes and The Rogues perform, and did not sunburn my cleavage. LOL. Probably the best faire experience I've had in just about forever. I think we're going to go back on October 13, as long as our schedules and the weather cooperate!

Two Sundays ago we went to the Washington DC Pagan Pride Day; the local Hellenic group to which I belong did the opening ritual. It was great. :) We had a wonderful time!

Let's see, what else ... James' finger seems to be healing fine, and he might keep his fingernail; the jury's still out on that one. And that's about all the news from here. Same old, same old!

Work, school, home, work, school, home. That sums up the past couple of weeks. :)

We went camping last weekend and had a great time, except for the last hour during which James broke the distal end of his left ring finger. :( His new name is "Runs With Boulders." Hee hee! He was collecting large quartz rocks at the farm where we camped, and he tripped over a sneaky little stump and fell with a large quartz rock in his left hand. Ouchie. We were more concerned about his leg because it was scraped and bruised, but later when he removed the bandage from his fingers (they had been scraped and bleeding), the back of his ring finger was nearly *black*. So we went to dinner, and I took another good look at his finger, suspected a fracture, and casually suggested a trip to the ER after dinner. LOL. Turns out it was fractured; I knew it when the radiologist held the x-ray up and winced. Eeek! He'll be fine, although it's causing him quite a bit of pain; fingers have all those nerve endings!
