I've been working insane hours all week — all night last night, as a matter of fact. James was wonderful enough to drive 60 miles to my office at 3 a.m. to drive me home when we finally finished working at about 5 a.m. What a guy! :) So needless to say, I'm going to spend this three-day weekend getting caught up on sleep. I was a total wreck at 6 a.m. when we finally got home. Geez, I must be getting older — I can't seem to do those all-nighters easily anymore! It didn't help that we worked hard the entire week, though. And I started school this week. Ha ha. I must be insane.

School is going to be very, very good this semester. Clinicals are looking interesting (I'll be at a Level 1 trauma center every Friday night, so it should be busy!), and our field internships (where we get assigned to a medic at a station and run many, many calls with them) are going to be fantastic experience. I'm really looking forward to this! I can't believe the fourth and final semester of this program is really here!

Not much going on ... we've been sleeping in pretty late, which is really going to screw me up next week when I have to go back to work. Eeek! So tonight I have to try to get to bed earlier. Ha ha ha.

The moon was SO bright last night when it was rising — we were in the living room watching James' new Fellowship of the Ring DVD when we noticed how strangely bright it was outside. We stood outside on the deck and couldn't believe how well we could see everything. It was amazing!

I've had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. I should do this more often. *g*

My final semester of the paramedic curriculum starts on Tuesday. I can't believe the end is in sight! Wow. I can't wait to get back to school ... I feel like my brain has leaked out my ears! I need to do some reviewing before school starts next week. Ack.

We got back home Friday afternoon; we weren't going to come home until today, but I we both missed our kitties and our home. :)

We had a great vacation — visited Massachusetts for three days (Framingham, where we stayed with friends, and Salem, where we went to dinner with another friend), went to America's Stonehenge in New Hampshire (that is *cool*!!), and then we spent a couple of days in Burlington, Vermont. We did some shopping there and took a fun boat cruise on Lake Champlain. No sitings of "Champy," I'm sorry to say! Maybe we should review James' video footage just to be sure. ;)

I like vacations with no itinerary. Sometimes lodging can be a close call (Burlington's hotels were booked solid right after we got our room — we got really lucky!), but it's a lot of fun.

On Thursday we drove down through Vermont, then through New York and into Pennsylvania. We spent Thursday night in Clarks Summit, PA, then came home Friday. James' betta died while we were gone, but the kitties and other fish were just fine. We hired a woman, Kathy, who owns a pet-sitting business to come over twice a day to feed the cats and fish. Oddly enough, it turns out Kathy is looking into Paganism. LOL. She loved our book collection! It was so much better (not to mention less expensive) to have her come over than to put the cats in a kennel; Kitty is 15, and I don't think she'd do well in a kennel at all!

What a wonderful vacation. I actually got to go swimming a couple of times in various hotels with nice pools. :) I love to swim. We also took tons of digital pictures — I'll have to get some from James and post them. And I still have another week of vacation from work — hoo-frickin'-ray!!!!

We're going on vacation soon! :) I'll be off of work from the 9th of August through the 23rd. Woo hooooooo!! I cannot wait!! We're probably going to be up in Massachusetts on the 10th to visit some friends, and then we'll see where we go from there. We're thinking about heading up into Maine, and into Canada. Suggestions regarding those areas are welcome!
